Barbara Bekiesz

• Extensive expertise in medical editing and communications, working with brands such as Novartis and its Ciba-Geigy legacy company.

• Worked on The Ciba Collection Medical Illustrations and the Clinical Symposia monograph series.

Barbara is a seasoned medical editor. She spent the first half of her career in the pharmaceutical industry, at Novartis and its Ciba-Geigy legacy company, and the other half working in medical communications.

As an editor and publications manager, she has shepherded journal articles and symposium proceedings into publication, working with key opinion leaders in a variety of fields. 

While at Ciba-Geigy, she worked on the 8-volume series called The Ciba Collection Medical Illustrations and the Clinical Symposia monograph series, based on the renowned medical artwork of Frank H. Netter, MD (1907-1991).

Barbara earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Delaware.
